The world is demanding cleaner energy—and at the heart of that transition lies one powerful component: the battery. In a recent episode of Cellmates by Lumicity, host Mike Norton sat down with Les Alexander to explore how this Indiana-based hub is accelerating battery research and reshaping the future of energy storage in America.
Battery cell fabrication consists of several steps, including electrode slurry mixing, electrode coating and drying, electrode calendering/densification, electrode slitting, cell fabrication, electrolyte filling, and electrochemical testing.
NI PAtools is a cutting-edge test development environment designed specifically for EV test systems.
The Byterat platform will be used by BIC scientists, engineers and executives to manage data from both facilities, and enables the needs of hundreds of BIC customers to be supported.
Les Alexander comes to BIC with more than 25 years of executive leadership experience in the commercial and national security sectors, most recently serving as Vice President of Government and Defense R&D at Navitas Systems an East Penn Company. Prior to starting his business career, he served the country for 12 years as an officer in the United States Navy rising to the level of Lieutenant Commander.
The new laboratory will serve as a hub for cutting-edge research, development, and testing of laser applications. Equipped with advanced laser systems and best-in-class technology, the facility will offer a wide range of services to cater to the needs of various industries.
